Multi-Principal Element Materials: Structure, Property, and Processing

Materials with multiple principal elements and under different names such as high-entropy alloys and complex concentrated alloys, are attracting intense attention due to their excellent structural and functional properties that can lead to a plethora of applications. This special topic covers computational and experimental studies exploring structure-property-processing relationships of multi-principal element materials. Novel computational and experimental techniques to discover and design structures across different length scales, to predict and characterize new structural and functional properties, and to facilitate processing are of interest. Review articles on cutting-edge developments and tutorials of novel computational and experimental techniques will also be considered.
