Dynamics of Oscillator Populations
This Focus Issue is devoted to recent advances in studying the dynamics of large populations of coupled oscillators. Pioneered by Winfree and Kuramoto, this subject remains in a focus of theoretical and experimental studies, also boosted by numerous applications. Topics covered in this Issue include irregular collective dynamics, finite-size effects, complex patterns of synchrony and asynchrony such as chimera states, effects of noise and disorder.
