A C++ version of the code written by Ardill, Moriarty, and Creutz [Comput. Phys. Commun. 29, 97 (1983)] for the Monte‐Carlo simulation of SU(N) lattice gauge theories is presented. The idea is to provide a concrete example of the use of the object‐oriented programming paradigm in one of the principal areas of computational physics.
