A first step is taken in the creation of a flexible tool kit for the exploration of physics problems requiring elaborate and efficient mathematical manipulations. Data abstraction features of C++ are used to create the object Matrix. Code for the manipulation of spinors and the group SL (2,C) is given as a simple example of object‐oriented programming. A problem in relativistic kinematics is briefly treated as an example of the use of the spinor toolkit.
