PC‐based data acquisition system for the Gulmarg gamma‐ray telescope

The Gulmarg gamma‐ray telescope used for the study of very‐high‐energy cosmic gamma‐ray sources has been recently coupled to an IBM PC/XT personal computer to enhance its data acquisition and storage capabilities. The principle underlying the interface circuitry is outlined and the data acquisition and storage software developed is described.
