Evaluation of the Bose–Einstein functions $g_{3/2}$ and $g_{5/2},$ where $g_{n} {(x)=∑}_{i=1}^{\infty} x^{i} {/i}^{n}$ over the physically meaningful range $0⩽x⩽1,$ is considered. We derive expansions in Chebyshev polynomials that are shown to be very efficient and accurate. © 1997 American Institute of Physics.
