We model theoretically the electromagnetic response of a diamond/graphite metasurface, acting as a THz beam polarizer. The response appears to be quite sensitive to the thickness and burial depth of laser-induced graphitized structure, and its simulation is validated by our experiments. Our simulations create a theoretical basis for designing optical elements based on all-carbon metamaterials, fabricated by laser direct-write technique.
