Water quality evaluation is one of the significant methods for ecological administration. A Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) is reflected as a viable apparatus for arrangement of numerous mind boggling building frameworks when vagueness is related with the frameworks. The proposed model is intended to anticipate WQI for Udhagamandalam, Kodaikanal and Yercaud Lakes in Tamil Nadu of southern India. This framework (FIS) improves and accelerates the calculation of WQI when contrasted with the present existing models. In this examination, the nature of the lakes water was categorized utilizing a WQI which is scaled from zero to a hundred. The most elevated number of the WQI shows the hitter nature of the Lakes water. The planned model is contrasted accordingly by Indian WQI and it has been identified that the outcomes of the calculated modelgive a precise forecast and this FIS was modelled using the MATLAB software and further research study is in progress to identify the highly influential parameter in determination of surface lake water quality.
