The study of the influence of geometry in a high-temperature solar volumetric absorber is conducted by detailed simulation of incident solar flux, laminar flow through Kelvin cell geometry and heat transfer. Coupled transfers are solved for three cell sizes leading to different specific surfaces. The best efficiency is achieved with the geometry having the thinnest struts, the smallest cell size and therefore the largest surface area. In this case, a weak volumetric effect is observed.
