Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) are premalignant lesions, which can be low or high grade. The therapies used in Mexico for this alteration are invasive and deform the cervix causing fertility problems and recurrent abortions; for this reason, in this work, the use of Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is proposed since it is directed to transformed cells, avoiding damage to healthy cells. In this work, 9 women with a diagnosis of CIN I or CIN/HPV were treated twice with the PDT (200 J cm−2 at 635 nm), it was found that 78 % of the patients did not respond with one treatment, however, this percentage decreased to 56 % when it was applied the PDT for the second time. When the patients had CIN I/HPV, with one PDT application, 22 % did not respond and with a second PDT application only 11 % did not respond. It was demonstrated that the PDT with two application increases its efficiency to eliminated CIN I alone or with HPV.
