A brand-new diffractometer system using multiple MYTHEN detectors has been established at BL19B2 Engineering Science Research I, a bending magnet beamline of SPring-8. A unique feature of this diffractometer is the azimuthal rotating axis to configure the direction of the detector array, which enables us to change the condition of observing reciprocal space with one-dimensional detectors. It is remarkable that this diffractometer system has a feature of adapting a variety of experiments such as out-of-plane and in-plane diffraction of anisotropic materials, as well as high-throughput data collection of powder diffraction, by transforming the detector arrangement.
