The article introduces the study on the determination of the optimal overall dimensions of the steam turbine down exhaust arrangement with an underslung condenser. The obtained results allow to estimate the values of the total loss for a diffuser-free exhaust hood in a wide range of changes in its overall dimensions and can be successfully used at the initial stage of designing a steam turbine plant.
