Conductive polymer like doped Polyaniline (PANi) has been receiving great attention until today. Because their reasonably good electrical conductivity, ease of preparation, affordability, and can be used in broad applications such as batteries, sensors, electronic devices and supercapacitors. In this study, conducted PANi was prepared by chemical oxidative polymerization of aniline monomer. The polymerization was carried out at three different initial solution temperatures. The process has resulted in non-conducting PANi powders which then called emeraldine based PANi or PANi-EB. Hydrochloric acid (HCl) and Perchloric acid (HClO4) respectively were used to obtain powders of doped PANi along with their respective electrical conductivity. The DC conductivities, dielectric permittivity (ε’) and dielectric loss (ε’’) of doped PANi have been evaluated by Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) in the frequency range from 8 to 12 GHz. It is shown that the electrical conductivity of the doped PANi is higher than pure PANi. At all frequencies, the ε’ value for doped PANi is higher than that of pure PANi. The high dielectric constant of the doped PANi indicates their better ability to absorb electromagnetic waves.
