Coffee (Coffea spp.) requires wild pollinators in the process of pollination, but research on the role of pollinators in coffee plantations in Indonesia is still limited. The purpose of this study was to identify the role of flowering plants, Ros elle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) and Sunn hemp (Crotalaria juncea) on the diversity and abundance of pollinating insects and fruit set of coffee. Three plots of coffee ecosystem treatment with flowering plants and control plots without flowering plants were arranged in this study. The diversity of pollinating insects was recorded by the visual method and the role of pollinator insects on the number of coffee fruit sets was identified by the bagging of coffee flowers. The diversity and abundance of insects pollinator in coffee plots with flowering plants, both Hibiscus and Crotalaria and their combinations is higher than in control plots without flowering plants. The highest proportion of insect pollinators population was 57.5% in coffee plots with Hibiscus sabdariffa and Crotalaria juncea, the lowest was 2.3% in control plots without flowering plants. The fruit set of the coffee ecosystem with Hibiscus sabdariffa and Crotalaria juncea was 89.9% higher than 60.1% in control plot.
