The use of dry pressing method in making composite is actually easier and simpler but it is less appropriate for the method if used for mass product. Then this study uses extrusion method. Porous Clay/CuZn composite was fabricated by an extrusion process with the addition of CuZn as sintering additive up to 40 wt.%. Clay powder was mixed and kneaded with (TiO2 10 wt.%, active carbon 5 wt.%, polyvinyl alcohol 5 wt.%) and additives Brass with variously. All wt.% mentioned excluding solvent water 20 wt.% and lubricant (glycerin oil, 1 wt.%). The resulting dough was extruded, dried at room temperature for 48 hours, and sintered at 1000°C for 1 hour in an electrical box furnace with heating rate 1°C/min and holding time for 1 hour. The phase composition, microstructure, density and porosity of the sintered porous bodies were also investigated. The addition of 10 wt.% CuZn on the composite materials showed a porosity more than 50 wt.%.
