Temperature calculation model for strip in hot rolled strip has been developed in this paper, which includes deformation energy uniformly distributed within the strip, frictional energy due to relative sliding between the strip and roll, heat conduction from the strip to the rolls due to the temperature difference. After the development of the model, it was tested at the production line. The results show that the developed model can predict the temperature of the strip well, and the prediction accuracy of the exit temperature of finishing mill can reach 98.88%.
