According to the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) the Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory of the National Nuclear Research Institute (SSDL-ININ) is the Designated Institute (DI) by the CENAM (Centro Nacional de Metrologia) before the CIPM (International Committee of Weights and Measures) to establish and maintain the national standard for ionization quantities. In particular, the SSDL-ININ has established the CMC for the reference air kerma rate K˙R in 192Ir, based on the NPL (National Physics Laboratory, UK) calibration protocol with the use of the geometrical source correction factor ksg.
