By analytical spectral analysis the bound‐state solutions of the reduced Salpeter equation with harmonic‐oscillator interaction are shown to be free of the instabilities numerically found in the (full) Salpeter equation for confining Bethe–Salpeter interaction kernels of certain Lorentz structure.
