I review the ideas about using baryon beams to produce new baryons that underlie the SELEX experiment at Fermilab. Single charm production shows strong leading particle effects. Unexpectedly, SELEX discovered anomalously large production of double charm baryons in baryon‐baryon collisions. I present recent new results on two new decay modes of the cc+(3520), the first reported double charm baryon. I also show an excited Q=2 double charm baryon and summarize the present state of knowledge about these systems.
