The evolution of ocular prostheses aims to reduce the occurrence of diverse complications like infections, ulcers, significant orbital deformities, tissue retraction, and the movement of eyebrows, eyelids, and forehead in vacant eye sockets. The progressions in the field of ophthalmology, which involve the incorporation of 3D printing, have significantly influenced the manufacturing process, ultimately resulting in the creation of custom-made prosthetic devices with increased precision and availability. Moreover, enhancements in the techniques employed for painting iris disks have led to improved results, presenting personalized solutions to achieve a more genuine aesthetic.
