This paper evaluates the prospects of artificial intelligence across different industries and apparent progress and/or developments observed as of the year 2024. To these models, fine-tuning techniques and open-source datasets are added, thus giving way to the development of multimodal AI and mini-language models. The advancement in AI has made it almost a household name given that it is used in smart home structures, the educational systems with learning management systems and recommendatory systems in our daily lives. AI has several uses mainly in industries whereby it helps in effectiveness, customer experience customization, and optimization of tasks. In e-commerce, the AI application is for building recommendation engine and chatbot which increases customer satisfaction and sales. The utilization of AI is an advantage to the education sector since specific learning content is facilitated and administrative desk work is enhanced. Lifestyle apps include smart personal assistant and smart home, while business apply AI in analyzing data for marketing segment, customizing messaging and optimizing marketing campaign. Most of the social media platforms incorporate the use AI for data analysis, user tracking and management, and content moderation.
