The utilization of industrial software for the computer aided design of parametric arrays (CADPA) of structural elements involves two principal stages - creating an algorithm (comprehensive plan) for solving the task and developing a programming environment that takes into account the peculiarities of each specific practical task. Proposed, as the outcome of the conducted research, is an algorithm for CADPA of structural elements within the automobile industry. The algorithm has served as the foundation for the creation of a programming environment customized for the design of a parametric array of brake discs for wheel brakes, based on Microsoft Excel and SolidWorks.
