Over the past decades, information technologies (IT) have made significant changes in almost all spheres of life. At the same time, due to the peculiarities of the organization of the information technology sphere, significant features have emerged not only in a technological sense, but also in the management process. On one hand, IT organizations deal with innovations, constant implementation of the latest technologies, team work, project management principles, flat organizational structures and flexible work schedules. On the other hand, contemporary principles of human resource management have also changed. Consequently, there is a need to analyze and identify the features that are inherent in human resource management (HRM) in the IT field, as well as to identify the main issues in this area and develop a number of methods to solve them. The purpose of this study is to identify the specificities of recruiting and selection of personnel in IT companies in the Republic of Armenia, to find out the main problems in this area and to develop a number of recommendations aimed at solving them. Thus, the study will provide an opportunity to understand the features of recruiting in IT companies and ensure more effective activities directed towards attracting talented and professional employees.
