There have been discussed the impact of innovative technologies on education, the challenges of using metaphor teaching methods with these technologies, and ways to enhance the speech competencies, creativity, and critical thinking skills of students in this article. We also highlight how teaching metaphors correctly can positively affect children’s cognitive skills and help them better understand the world around them. It is crucial for young children to learn the names of objects in their surroundings to aid in speech development. The proper use of metaphors can be very useful in this situation because the names of objects are created by renaming them based on similarities between things that are well known to us, with the transfer of word meanings. Understanding the similarities and connections between different concepts can be challenging for young students. Therefore, it is important to utilize modern methodologies and innovative technologies for teaching metaphors. Using multimedia tools to illustrate similarities between objects and their meanings can help students understand better. The information that students see and understand with their own eyes is better retained in their memory than what they comprehend by listening. These are the aspects of the problem discussed in the article.
