The article is devoted to the study of the problem of fatigue and corrosion-fatigue failures of oil trunk pipelines. A comparative characteristic of low-cycle and multi-cycle fatigue of metal structures is given. A method for calculating the durability of an oil trunk pipeline under cyclic loading conditions is presented. Computational studies have established the influence of stress concentrators and a corrosive environment on the durability of the main oil pipeline. Recommendations are given to reduce the stress concentration in welds and the effect of a corrosive environment on the pipeline material.
