The article investigated the effect of heat treatment on the structure and phase composition of a bimetal made of 70S-6 and 309LSI steels manufactured by the WAAM method. Austenitization at a temperature of 1100 ℃ for 1 hour and austenitization at the same temperature and exposure time+normalization at a temperature of 930 ℃ with an exposure time of 1 hour were chosen as promising heat treatment options used in the work. During the study, the chemical composition of the deposited bimetal was determined in the zones of 70S-6 and 309LSI steels, as well as near the boundary of fusion of dissimilar metals. The use of ferromagnetic analysis made it possible to determine the amount and change in the content of ferromagnetic phases by the height of the samples. In the course of metallographic analysis, to identify the structure of 70S-6 steel, chemical etching of the grinds in a 4% aqueous solution of nitric acid was used, and electrolytic etching in a 10% solution of oxalic acid was used to identify the structure of 309LSI steel. In the course of metallographic research, data on structural and phase transformations during heat treatment of deposited bimetal were obtained.
