The educator remains the main guarantor of the successful digitization of educational processes and education in general, and whose task is also to understand, extract and implement in their practice the best that technology can offer for a better education that would benefit both learners and society. Within the outlined context, we argue on the need for new and alternative pedagogies that help our educators navigate the complexity of our contemporary society and its evolving and pressing needs. The digitization of the classroom brings enormous challenges to our universities, as they need to first equip and train their academics and researchers on how to engage in efficient and optimal use of technologies and innovation to help them support their students. In this paper, we offer details of the evolving working context of novel pedagogy called Circular Pedagogy, which provides critical insights into the need to rethink learning environments that acknowledge our modern society’s pressing needs.
