The potential of chatbots in education has been investigated in this study, specifically as an educational tool for learning flashcards in the field of Medicine. The objective was to design an intuitive, rule-based chatbot using artificial intelligence to enhance learning. A Facebook Messenger chatbot was created and two groups, an experimental and a control group, were examined using experiment-based research. Data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively, revealing that the experimental group outperformed the control group, providing evidence for the effectiveness of chatbots as a learning tool.
