N-heterocyclic carbenes produced from benzimidazoles are complexed with platinum (II) (Z1-Z4) and were effectively synthesized in a single pot using [PtCl2] salts of 1,3-disubstituted benzimidazolium. The FTIR and 1H, and 13C NMR data were used to characterize the prepared end complexes. The synthesized new platinum(II) N-heterocyclic carbene complexes were biologically evaluated for in vitro antibacterial activity estimated against some types of bacteria strains S. aureus. and E. coli.
