A proposal is made for a planar multiband antenna that is based on a composite right-handed and left- handed transmission line. The antenna would be used for compact mobile terminals that are capable of4Gand5Gnetworks. The antenna that is being suggested has a monopole CRLH-Construction with rectangular radiation pattern and structure. It is possible that the monopole will support a variety of applications, including GSM, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Max. On the other hand, the simulated reflection coefficients for 2.4GHz, 2.9GHz, and 3.7GHz are -28.94dB, -24.08dB, and - 29.54dB, respectively. Because of its multiband capabilities and its small size, the antenna is suitable for use in the construction of mobile terminals for both 4G and 5G networks.
