This study aimed to describe collaborative learning through small groups assisted by The Miro application so that it can improve students' verbal communication skills. Verbal communication skills are important in learning so that ideas can be conducted and math problems can be solved in groups. In contrast, students have not been able to have effective discussions because problem-solving is dominated by students with high GPAs. This research method used descriptions with qualitative data based on field notes during lectures and the results of student discussions. Observational data were analyzed by searching for keywords from student conversations and discussion results contained in The Miro application. The results of the study showed that collaborative-based learning of complex variable analysis is effective. This could be seen from the increase in the number of terms that emerged during the discussion. The process of solving problems also took place faster and students in the team wrote on The Miro application precisely. Recommendations for further research could be focused on the effectiveness of the Miro application in solving mathematical problems involving writing mathematical formulas.
