Conventional car rental systems face challenges due to lengthy procedures, resulting in poor outcomes for clients and rental companies. This study proposes an innovative vehicle rental framework that integrates mobile app management and IoT technology. An Accident Detection System is introduced to improve safety measures. The system includes an e-commerce platform for online car rental and an IoT-enabled Accident Detection System. The platform enables efficient rental services by offering online access to vehicles and financial transactions. The Accident Detection System helps owners promptly detect incidents and enhancing safety. Integration of mobile app management and IoT technology provides benefits like real-time monitoring, compliance tracking, maintenance identification, and theft tracking. These advancements significantly improve the rental experience. The proposed system received strong support from users and owners within the IIUM community, with 96% user and 100% owner endorsement. Functionalities like seat belt and accident detection are already in place, with future plans to integrate IoT technology for real-time monitoring, further enhancing convenience and safety in car rental services.
