To examine the effectiveness of endodontic solvents in resin epoxy and zinc oxide eugenol sealer solubility. Eighty capillary tubes (0.9 internal diameters and 30 mm length), each filled to 15 mm with either resin epoxy (n = 40) or zinc oxide eugenol sealer (n = 40), were kept at 100% of humidity for 14 days at 37⁰C. The specimens were weighed using a digital analytic scale. Therefore, ten capillary tubes containing each sealer were treated with xylol, chloroform, orange oil, and distilled water for 5 minutes. The specimens were watered with distilled water, dried using paper points, then put in an incubator with 100% of humidity at 37° for 24 hours. Each group was weighed after being immersed in a solvent using a digital analytic scale. The Two Way ANOVA was used to analyze the research data. There were no significant differences among the three types of endodontic solvents in terms of theor ability to dissolve epoxy resin and zinc oxide eugenol-based sealers (p>0.05). Based on the type of sealer, both of sealer did not show significant differences in solubility (p>0.05). Xylol, chloroform, and orange oil have no significant difference in the effectiveness of epoxy resin and zinc oxide eugenol-based sealers.
