Indonesia is the largest country in Southeast Asia, and according to Worldometer data in 2021, Indonesia has the 4th largest population in the world, which causes Indonesia to have many problems that must be addressed immediately, one of which is driving safety. The number of accidents in the DKI Jakarta area in 2020 reached 5,308 cases, with a total of 354 deaths, 483 serious injuries, and 4,471 minor injuries. Traffic accidents can be caused by 5 causative factors, namely: first, human error factors caused by traffic violations. Second, drivers who are not concentrating, are sleepy, are driving while using cellphones/telephones/ billboards, or not seeing vehicles around / blindspots. In understanding the factors that cause accidents, special equipment is needed that is designed in detail and effectively for drivers to understand the potential for accidents early, as well as know good driving ethics to avoid accidents by using the concept of 3D simulation with a 360-degree view through virtual reality media. The method used in this study is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) methodology, which is the most appropriate method by emphasizing 6 stages of development, namely concept, design, data collection, installation, testing, and distribution. The result of designing this application is the realization of an application designed to help educate road users to understand blind spots when driving, which can be accessed through smartphone devices and VR glasses. With this application, it is expected to increase the awareness of motorists to drive safely. And, of course, relying on technology does not need to require a lot of space to achieve maximum results.
