The technological revolution that runs massively and quickly has an impact on various fields including education. The teaching skills of the teacher’s profession in utilize digital developments need to be improved. In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, which is related to digitalization and has an impact on the education sector, there are various obstacles felt by both educators and students, including the lack of competence in the knowledge and skills of the teacher profession, especially in the IT field, budget constraints, uneven educational facilities and infrastructure, and low teacher initiative to innovate and increase their creativity in utilizing platform applications provided by the government. Improving the teaching skills teacher’s profession in the digital era is certainly related to IT, where the digitization process can support teacher’s efforts to achieve the high quality of teaching. In addition to utilizing digital developments, improving teaching skills teacher’s profession can also be encouraged by the transformational leadership style of the principal and teacher assertiveness. This study aims to identify transformational leadership styles and assertiveness in improving the teaching skills teacher’s profession in the digital era. The principal’s transformational leadership style is needed to conduct teacher IT training and be able to build organizational communication needed in the smooth process of increasing teacher knowledge and skills, while teacher assertiveness is considered to be able to explore the learning potential of teachers, which means it will improve the teaching skills teacher’s profession in the digital era. The method used in this research is a systematic literature study. Researchers selected 19 journals articles published during the last 3 years from 2020 to 2023. The results of the research sourced in the article show that transformational leadership style and assertiveness can play an important role in improving the teaching skills teacher’s profession in the digital era.
