The local building regulations, which were based on incorrect or impractical analyses and led to the loss of the desired image for those streets as well as the architectural identity of all city streets, are responsible for many of the architectural and planning issues that Baghdad City faces. Because of the unplanned variations in building height along any roadway. We were able to identify the research problems through this, which is the lack of street images for all streets in Baghdad due to the wide range of buildings along these streets and the lack of effective methods to restrict building heights. The goal of the research is to identify appropriate and useful criteria that can be used to establish the maximum building heights and the number of stories required to ensure that buildings next to them get the necessary daily quantity of sun radiation. We can obtain a suitable and proper height with direct sunlight because Baghdad is located on latitude (36 north), which is able to make the solar radiation originate from the sun’s route in the sky that reaches the streets with a broad range of angles (33-81degree).
