Taking into account measures taken to protect objects that are in the sphere of influence of new construction the need was noted to monitor the technical condition of these objects from the very beginning of the works to their completion. Studies have shown that it is necessary to ensure that the facilities under construction do not have a negative impact on existing facilities, timely and objectively assess their impact on buildings and structures near the construction site, and take the necessary measures to protect the structures of existing buildings in operation. We give examples of how to avoid negative impact on buildings and structures under construction. We propose some measures for the protection of structures located near objects under construction, and describe examples of monitoring their technical condition during the construction of nearby buildings. Based on the results of the studies and developed measures, we concluded that the choice and recommendation of the correct method of protective measures, as well as constant monitoring of the technical condition of buildings and structures located near the facility under construction, are necessary to prevent accidents during construction and installation works, as well as the further operation of new and existing buildings.
