The article is devoted to a comparison of methods for determining the position of the center of pressure of a rocket and assessing its static stability when studying the basics of jet propulsion in aerospace education. A simplified method, an analytical calculation, a graphical method and various practical approaches that can be used in the educational process are considered. The use of the proposed methods is considered on the example of designing an experimental model rocket. Comparison and evaluation of the results of calculations are carried out.
