An investigation on the mucosal wave model for the vocal fold oscillation is developed in this study by means of the Optimal Homotopy Asymptotic Method (OHAM) and an explicit and accurate analytical solution is obtained. The considered model implies small-amplitude oscillation of the vocal folds and represents the oscillatory motion as a surface wave propagating in the air flow direction. The capabilities of OHAM are proved to study human vocal fold oscillation.
