Learning mathematics in the independent curriculum uses a teaching module containing Pancasila’s profile. The teacher should develop the teaching module by including local wisdom and Pancasila profiles following the characteristics of the students. Considering that the implementation of an independent curriculum is a new thing, most mathematics teachers have difficulty in making teaching modules independently. Wetlands are one of the local pearls of wisdom that can be used in context in the South Kalimantan region. Therefore, the objective of this study is to develop a teaching module that contains the context of wetlands to educate the critical thinking of junior high school students. The research method used is the method of research and development with the four D models. Mathematical material used as the object of problem development is grade VII mathematics in junior high school. The results of the study obtained an independent curriculum teaching module with a wetland context to educate critical-thinking junior high school students.
