In order to reduce the raw material consumption of building materials based on gypsum, this article describes the possibilities of using various polymer compositions based on agricultural waste - straw. The polymer compositions included agricultural waste straw, polyvinyl acetate and liquid glass, and tests were carried out on the basis of compositions containing straw waste from 1% to 5%. The physical and mechanical properties of the obtained samples, such as water absorption, bending strength and compression, were also studied. Based on the results, it was determined that the optimal value of polymer compositions is 3%. The decrease in the water absorption index of gypsum samples from straw waste by 38% was achieved through the use of the optimal ratio of compositions.
