This paper talks about Hexabot, an Internet of Things (IoT) enabled surveillance robot. Hexabot has a height of 50 cm and a width of 40*40. Its goal is to integrate sensing, communication and computing capabilities to enable it to perform surveillance tasks in both indoors and outdoors environments. Hexabot leverages the capabilities of sensors, wireless communication, and embedded systems to provide an affordable, reliable, and versatile surveillance solution. Hexabot is designed to detect, recognize and track objects, measure environmental parameters, and navigate autonomously. This paper presents the design and implementation of Hexabot and its components. Additionally, an experimental evaluation of the robot’s performance is presented. The results demonstrate that Hexabot is a reliable and cost-effective surveillance robot with the potential to become an invaluable asset for various surveillance applications.
