Learning mathematics always requires development in the learning resources used, one of which is the development of the Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT). The difficulty of students in understanding the subject matter, especially the Two Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV), because has not led to the problems encountered in real life. The learning designed by the teacher also does not support that students can understand the concept well because the learning flow is not in accordance with the characteristics of students. In the end, this condition causes low student learning outcomes. For this reason, it is necessary to develop HLT, which can increase students’ knowledge in an integrative way to support the introduction of a valid, practical, and effective culture. The development of HLT with ethnomathematics based on the Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) approach is the solution chosen to improve student learning outcomes.
