Violent incidents in educational institutions involving mass deaths of students and teaching staff cause wide public outcry and concern. In recent years on the territory of the Russian Federation against the background of reduced crime among teenagers, a number of atypical for our country events related to aggressive behavior of young people in educational institutions, ranging from schools to higher educational institutions, have occurred which pose a real challenge to society. In 2021 alone there were three armed attacks in educational institutions: one in Kazan in the spring and two in Perm in the fall. The genesis of this phenomenon dates back to the late twentieth century, in the United States. As a result of the Columbine school attack, 13 people were killed and 36 were seriously injured. Information about this outrageous case spread around the world and the perpetrators had their followers, including in Russia. The space of educational institutions is no longer safe, and all participants in the educational process face new challenges in protecting human life. The lack of special reinforced barriers, traps for trespassers, metal detectors and other measures is a disadvantage of building checkpoints. To strengthen the system of protection, we propose the development of a security guard operator panel, which includes a system of blocking the intruder at the checkpoint and educational buildings. The problem of countering violent attacks, as well as improving the system of protection of students in educational institutions of Russia is of particular relevance.
