The scale of extraction and production of gaseous hydrocarbons has a large-tonnage character. Butane-butylene fraction is an intermediate product in the production of butadiene and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) from the pyrolysis fraction C4. Their share today significantly exceeds the share of their qualified use. Therefore the, study of the formation of liquid products. Especially aromatic ones from a real raw material stream is an urgent task. It is widely known that pentasil catalysts exhibit catalytic activity in aromatization reactions. Currently known methods of aromatization of individual low molecular weight paraffins (propane, butane, pentane, and hexane). However, it is of interest to study the conversion of a real type of raw material into aromatic hydrocarbons on zeolite catalysts. This work is devoted to the study of the process of aromatization on the surface of the BAK-70U catalyst. The manufacturer of the BAK-70U catalyst is CJSC Nizhny Novgorod Sorbents. The butane-butylene fraction of OAO SNHZ was used as the feedstock. This fraction is formed from the C4 pyrolysis fraction after the isolation of butadiene and isobutylene from its composition.
