Direct current (DC) servo motors the common motors which is used in many applications, especially position control system. To maintain line of sight required for good communication, particularly in satellite tracking. PID controller is still used in many applications. In this paper, the main objective is designing and controlling of an antenna position system based on a DC servo motor. The first aim is driving the transfer function of the proposed system and test the stability of speed and position of motor. The results which are obtained by using the MATLAB / SIMULINK program shows that the PID controller-based Ziegler and Nichols method gave an efficient performance, completely stability of the performance of the DC servo motor. It is possible to follow the methodology of the current research to calculate the gains parameter of PID controller.
