Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) waste is a material that can be an environmental problem because PVC is a material that cannot be decomposed naturally. The utilization of PVC waste as added material in road pavement is an alternative solution. This study aims to evaluate the effect of adding PVC waste on the AC-WC mixture in terms of Marshall parameters and to determine the optimum level of addition of PVC waste. The PVC waste was mixed into the asphalt with variations in the addition of PVC of 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10% by weight of the asphalt, then the Marshall test was carried out. The results of this study indicate that the addition of PVC material to the AC-WC mixture can improve the quality of the mix. Based on the Marshall test, it was found that the addition of PVC could increase the value up to 27%. The optimum level of PVC addition is 4.2% by weight of asphalt.
