Since Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is used as one of the biggest sources of vegetable fats in the world for human consumption, the study of the lipase activity led to producing free fatty acids (FFA), and Glycerols were important. The current work analyzed the protein modeling of the lipase genes using Phyre2 and Swiss-model. The diversity of templates was noted in Swiss-model while EgLip (Uncharacterized) and OBL1 using Phospholipase, EgLip2, and EgLip3 using Lipase templates, and Feruloyl Esterase A template is used for EgLip1 with Qmean varied (0.51-0.59). Conversely, in Phyre2 all genes are matched with the same hydrolase templates with 100% confidence. Meanwhile, the transmembrane helices in Phyre2 provide two helices (S1-S2) for EgLip1 and EgLip (Uncharacterized) with N-terminal and C-terminal were in Cytoplasmic. Furthermore EgLip2, OBL1 have N-terminal in Cytoplasmic and C-terminal in Extracellular trough three helices (S1-S3). The study suggested that the lipase genes provide useful tools for studying protein modeling related to the quality of oil products and human health.
