The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many industries to work online. The world of education in Indonesia is no exception. Students and teachers are feeling the impact of the pandemic. The effect is on teachers who are stressed and bored because of the usual learning methods and who are confused about which process to use. New solutions and innovations are needed to deal with this so that these problems can be resolved. Virtual reality is a solution to deal with it because virtual reality makes education more interactive, attracts interest, and suppresses the boredom of Indonesian students during the pandemic. This research aims to know the techniques for applying virtual reality, preparation, and the positive side of implementing virtual reality. In this study, the semantic literature review method resulted in several important points, such as techniques in virtual reality that can be used, namely selection, manipulation, and locomotion. The positive side of implementing virtual reality is Provide More Interactive Learning, Provides Clearer Visualization of 3D Objects, and Improve Public Speaking. Finally, the things that must be prepared are Human Resources Preparation, Adequate Equipment Preparation, Room to be Prepared (If Hybrid or at Home), and Sufficient Funding for Indonesian Educational Institutions.
