Microstrip patch antennas are renowned for their adaptability, conceivable geometries, which allows to be employed in a widespread range of applications. Its numerous advantages are light in weight, and compatible with Microwave Integrated circuits. This paper explains a model of Rectangular shaped, Microstrip patch antenna, resonating at 2.4GHz, for wireless communications. The proposed patch antenna is made-up by FR-4 (Lossy) as a substrate, with the Dielectric constant (ɛr=4.4), with 1.6 mm thickness. Return Loss of -36.72 dB is attained, with VSWR of 1.02, Bandwidth of 104 MHz and gain of 2.7dB. The technique for feed, employed in this antenna is Microstrip 50Ω Feedline. The proposed patch Antenna design will be helpful for ISM band applications, like Wi-Fi, WLAN and, Bluetooth applications.
